He gave several reasons for Ufone to be called as no 1. One of them was the quality service to subscribers. He said Ufone has the best infrastructure and state-of-the-art technology to cater to the needs of its clients and enjoys a clear edge over its competitors in this key area.
Babar, accompanied by his team members - marketing manager Sohaib Shaikh and vice-president for commercial Mubashir Naqvi - sounded very confident and said Ufone would keep up its soaring trend in coming years since it has all the prerequisites for considerable edge over its competitors.
He mentioned better system, professional and dedicated team, and over and above all, a professional approach to sense the ever coming changes in the cellular sector.
He told a questioner that Ufone was actively working on a plan to establish franchise centres at prominent places in major cities to provide customer services to its subscribers.
He said Ufone was fully conscious of the importance of quality service and result-oriented help-lines andd so was upgrading its system He welcomed the government's decision of privatising the PTCL.
He showed optimism that the Ufone would stay at the top even in the private sector since such development would enhance its role in the market and so its revenue.
According to him, the Ufone's market share, as on December 31, 2004, was 1.9 million and it planned to enhance it to 4 million by December 2005.
The Ufone has signed inter-connectivity agreements with new cellular companies, Warid Telecom and Telenor Telecom.
